Q1. My Typing speed is 'x' wpm. What is the required typing speed for selection?

Q1. My Typing speed is 'x' wpm. What is the required typing speed for selection?

Ans: In SSC Exams they don’t check your typing speed. They will calculate the error percentage. So, keep this in mind you have to type the whole passage with prescribed error percentage. Speed in wpm doesn’t matter in SSC Typing.

Ans: Yes, SSC typing is like typing in MS Word. You can go back, make correction but avoid pressing CTRL+S keys. It will save your passage in the server.

Ans: There will be no mechanical keyboard available. You will get digital keyboard and before attempting real typing exam, do check your keyboard keys and mouse.

Ans: Suppose there is a line you have to type “I want to be ITI” This line includes 5 words, 12 letters & 4 spaces ( quoted not included ) now these spaces and letters will counted as keystrokes and no. of key strokes are 16 in this line. If there is an enter also then it will make it to 17 key strokes.

LDC – 10 min (1750 Key strokes)

  1. Please tell how many spaces should be given after every word and full stops?
    What if I give two spaces after every word? Will it be counted as keystroke or error?
